This award celebrates our success in designing and deploying a comprehensive security system across the Zambrero restaurants network throughout Australia.
Zambrero, one of Australia’s leading fast-casual restaurant chains, required a fully integrated CCTV and alarm system across its locations, spanning a mix of shopping centre outlets, standalone restaurants, drive-thrus, and remote sites. The project demanded precise coordination, as each location was allotted just two weeks for full installation, including cabling and system fit-off while other interior works were ongoing.
Through meticulous planning, execution, and collaboration, OmniVision successfully delivered the project on time and within budget, achieving a 100% success rate.
Why This Project Deserved Recognition

A key motivation for this project was Zambrero’s Plate 4 Plate initiative, where for every burrito or bowl purchased, a meal is donated to someone in need. To date, over 80 million meals have been provided through this program. OmniVision was inspired by Zambrero’s mission and took great pride in delivering a security solution that helps protect both its business operations and its greater humanitarian impact.

Key Highlights of the Project
OmniVision’s security solution for Zambrero spanned multiple locations across six states, requiring the design and installation of over 500 CCTV cameras, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), and a fully integrated, centrally monitored alarm system. Each site was secured with motion detectors, reed switches, sirens, and keypads, ensuring a robust security framework. The implementation of the HiLook Video Management System, combined with Mobile View capabilities, allowed for remote monitoring and real-time surveillance access, enhancing operational oversight. Despite working across a mix of shopping centre outlets, standalone restaurants, and drive-thru locations, OmniVision adapted to varied site conditions while coordinating with corporate and franchise-owned businesses. The project also involved navigating tight spaces, shopping centre compliance requirements, and complex scheduling, all while maintaining strict two-week installation deadlines per site. Through careful planning and execution, the project was completed on time and within budget, delivering a cutting-edge, future-proof security solution that ensures staff and customer safety at all times.
